The Upper East Side store will give complimentary valuations from gemologists, horologists and authenticate fine jewellery, watches, handbags and, for the first time in one of its New York stores, sneakers.

Ensuring that a product is authentic has plagued some in the consignment industry, resulting in players such as The RealReal making authenticity a key facet of their brand.

The smaller-format store, which is its second in the city after its SoHo store, will also feature product drop-offs, designed to make its consignment service quick and convenient, and personal shopping appointments with stylists, intended to create a tailored in-store experience.
