The Internacionale brand is being put up for sale following its administration, with intellectual property specialist Metis Partners to handle the sale.
Internacionale, which had 89 stores, hit the buffers earlier this year and administrator PwC has been winding down the business.
The young fashion retailer has been on the UK high street since the 1980s and has own brands including Sophie, aimed at children from six to 14, Denim 365, Miss Internacionale and Urban Edition.
Metis Partners head of corporate recovery Nat Baldwin said: “Anyone with an interest in fashion will be fascinated by how Internacionale opened up access to up-to-the-minute style to a much wider public.
“The company is still trending strongly on social media with more than 180,000 Facebook likes and more than 14,000 Twitter followers. We anticipate strong interest from fashion retail professionals and brand acquisition experts.”
Assets up for sale included a range of registered UK and EC trademarks, unregistered trademarks, the customer database, goodwill in the brand and reputation and the ecommerce website content.
Offers must be received by interested parties by noon next Friday.
