Womenswear retailer Jacques Vert has announced that its managing director of womenswear Shena MacDonald has stepped down from the board and will leave the group.
It is unclear when MacDonald will leave the group and whether her role will be replaced at a board level at the retailer, which comprises brands Jacques Vert, Windsmoor, Precis and Planet.
Chief executive Paul Allen said in a Stock Exchange announcement: “Shena has been with us for almost five years.
“The shape of the group has been transformed within that time and now consists of four key brands that are well positioned for further development.
“Shena has played an important part in achieving this and she leaves in place very capable operational management and creative design teams. I would like to thank Shena for her valuable contribution and wish her all the best for the future.”
The 960-store retailer reported a 6.8 per cent drop off in like-for-like sales in the 26 weeks to October 25. Pre-tax profits were £1.1m, versus £3m the year before.
