French online and mail order fashion brand La Redoute is to open its first physical store with a pop-up at the Liverpool One shopping centre.
The 1,755 sq ft unit in the mall’s Manesty’s Lane will sell items from its spring/summer 2014 collection for four days between May 22 and May 26.
It will include swimwear, beachwear, French classics, dresses and cover-ups as well as essentials and basics from its Prix Mini and Essentials ranges.
Miles Dunnett, head of asset management for Liverpool One owner the Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, said: “The unique nature of pop-ups generates great curiosity amongst visitors to Liverpool One.
“La Redoute will be no exception, particularly as this is the first time customers can physically experience the brand before purchasing.”
La Redoute, part of the Redcats group, has been operating in the UK since 1995, and also has a presence in mainland Europe, Russia and China.
It has worked with designers such as Jean Paul Gautier, Yves Saint Laurent, Karl Lagerfeld and Terence Conran.
La Redoute’s head of marketing Heidi Kenyon-Smith said: “Liverpool One is the ideal location for our first pop-up store in what is a very important step for the brand.
“Liverpool ONE has a very strong reputation right across the region and actively embraces creative concepts with its dedicated pop-up store.
“We are following in the footsteps of a number of other great brands at Liverpool One and are confident of sharing similar success.”
