Young fashion retailer Lipsy has opened its first overseas stores in Dubai.
The two openings, at the Mall of Emirates and Mirdif City, Dubai, are part of the Next-owned retailer’s multi-franchise deal with Landmark Group, which it revealed last November.
A third Dubai store will open imminently and further stores in Dubai, Bahrain and Qatar are planned throughout the year.
Lipsy, which was acquired by Next in 2008, has 40 UK stores. The retailer sells internationally in department store Bloomingdales in the US, Galeries Lafayette in France, Robinsons in Singapore and Myer in Australia.
Lipsy head of international and business development Emma Dobson said: “These initial openings in Dubai mark an exciting chapter in Lipsy’s ongoing success story. Lipsy is committed to international expansion and we look forward to exploring further opportunities for growth this year”
