Marks & Spencer has struck a new deal with the Football Association (FA) to become the official tailor for both the men’s and women’s England teams.
The retailer will debut the new womenswear collection next year, following the national team’s victory over Germany in the final of the European Championship.
They are now preparing for next summer’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
M&S has been the official suit supplier for the England men’s team since 2007. Its latest 67-piece menswear collection will be available for M&S customers to purchase from August 18, ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which kicks off in November.
Items in the range start at £12.50, rising to £150 for a wool peacoat with limited-edition FA badging.
M&S director of menswear Wes Taylor said: “The appetite for smart dressing is back as evidenced by the huge spike in customer searches for formalwear this year. However, customers’ shopping habits have evolved and show that their confidence has grown in creating more relaxed and versatile formal looks using separates.
“In this new era of formalwear, it’s all about being able to flex for different occasions, from knitwear under blazers and smart trousers with trainers through to bomber jackets, half-zips and macs over a suit.”
M&S womenswear director Maddy Evans added: “We’re incredibly excited and honoured to be dressing the talented and inspiring England senior women’s team on their journey to next year’s summer tournament.
“We look forward to unveiling a collection that feels contemporary and unexpected, with pieces that challenge the traditional idea of ‘power dressing’.”
