Fashion retailer Mango is expanding its teen arm and kickstarting its international expansion of the teen brand with a launch in the UK.
Mango Teen, which launched in Spain three years ago, is due to open a store at Foubert’s Place near Carnaby street in London.
The teen concept is also increasing its offering in Spain this year with around 15 new stores in cities including Barcelona, Ibiza, Malaga, Vigo, Oviedo, Bilbao and Seville.
Mango Teen is expecting “exponential growth” with around 25 stores this year to almost double the figure in 2023, as well as its presence in 95 markets through online and multi-line channels.
New stores will feature a Mediterranean-inspired New Med concept with warm tones, neutral colours and sustainable materials which the group said “embodies the spirit and freshness” of Mango.
Mango Teen was first marketed through an online channel and pop-up stores in 2021 before its first stand-alone store in Barcelona in 2022.
A Mango children’s and youth store followed in Valencia, which has now expanded to cities such as Madrid and Barcelona.
Mango Kids and Teen director Berta Moral said: “The opening of the first Mango Teen store internationally marks a turning point, so that we can continue to inspire and bring our passion for fashion to young audiences.
“The UK is one of the most important markets in the world of global fashion and therefore a key market for Mango and the development of all its lines to consolidate a global offer that responds to all segments, from women to men, children and teenagers.”
