Marks & Spencer has unveiled a new collection of menwear staples for its Autograph range.
Autograph Essentials comprises “modern, sophisticated capsule pieces that will stand the test of time” said Marks & Spencer.
The retailer said the move follows its success of the womenswear range which launched last year. The collection has been designed offer modern basics that can be worn from one season to the next.
Key pieces include a 3-piece navy suit for £158.50, a slim fitting cotton fine stripe shirt for £29.50 and a merino wool cardigan for £39.50.
Tony O’Connor, head of design for menswear said: “We’re seeing a real move towards smarter dressing and our new Autograph Essentials range offers men all the key modern basics for a smart, contemporary look.
“It’s the perfect capsule workwear wardrobe and my favourite pieces include the crisp cotton shirts in compact yarns which are lightweight and easy to wear, the straight leg dark denim jeans and the on-trend classic 3-pieces suit which has a modern, slimline cut.”
Autograph Essentials is available at 130 Marks & Spencer stores nationwide and online.
Separately, Marks & Spencer will introduce its Indigo collection – aimed at women in their mid-30s – on September 1.
