New Look has hired Burberry’s former head of user experience as head of digital.
New Look, which is owned by South African investment group Brait, has recruited Paul Rasmussen for the role. Rasmussen spent nearly five years as Burberry’s head of user experience, before leaving the business at the end of last year.
He has also spent time in similar roles at several digital agencies and web businesses.
The digital team at New Look was depleted at the end of last year. Digital director Jack Smith left New Look in September after two-and-a-half years in the role.
Smith was responsible for digital channels across all markets, led the launch of New Look’s new ecommerce businesses in France and Germany and launched its site on Chinese etail market place Tmall.
Ecommerce director Sally Heath-Minto also left the fashion retailer at the end of last year.
Heath-Minto, who was ranked 43 in Retail Week’s Etail Power List 2016, was at New Look for five years.
She left to spend more time with her family and to support her husband’s make-up business, TAM Beauty.
