Next is withdrawing a line of underwear after some of the featured artwork on the garment was mistaken as a “Nazi image”.

The boxer shorts in question featured several cartoon images. One of the images enraged a customer who believed it looked like Adolf Hitler saluting to passing planes.

Next said that it had investigated the complaint and found the image was inspired by a Soviet image of Lenin.

It said that in order to avoid any further misunderstanding it would withdraw the remaining 5,200 pairs of underwear in question.

The customer who complained Ben Radomski said he was happy that the product had been withdrawn.
