Value fashion group Peacocks has made two senior appointments in key roles.
John Cooper has joined Peacocks from Sainsbury’s as merchandise director and Sue Swannie, at present with Shop Direct, starts as buying director in December.
Peacocks managing director Tim Bettley said “The appointments reflect our commitment to strengthen and develop Peacocks as a value fashion retailer.
“Both John and Sue bring a wealth of experience in the retail industry with over 20 years in merchandising and buying.”
Cooper headed non-food trading and merchandising at Sainsbury’s and previously held senior merchandising positions at retailers including John Lewis, Next and Marks & Spencer. Peacocks said he brings experience across planning, merchandising, stock distribution and supply chain.
Swannie has previously been a director of retailers including Monsoon, George at Asda, M&Co and Arcadia. Peacocks said she would be pivotal in driving product strategy.
