The standalone home store is expected to open in March

The first opening of a standalone ‘Primark Home’ store is expected to take place in March this year, and will be located in the Fountain House building on Donegall Place, Belfast, Ireland.

Primark revealed that the store will span one floor across 8,700 sq ft and said the opening marks a “significant milestone” for the business as it continues expanding its homeware and lifestyle product category.

The fashion retailer said in a statement that the dedicated store comes among a trend of people taking “increasing pride in their home” and that its homeware offering allows shoppers “endless choice and quality at affordable prices”.

Primark’s homeware range includes a number of essentials from bedding and towels, to soft furnishing, decorations and funky kitchen ceramics.

The new store will offer “an even greater selection” of home products that are designed to bring spaces in people’s homes “as much joy as their wardrobes”.

Head of Primark Northern Ireland and Ireland Fintan Costello said: “This is a truly proud moment for Primark as we open our first standalone Primark Home store. Belfast felt like the perfect place to bring this concept to life, and Fountain House offers an incredible setting in the heart of the city centre to showcase our expanded homeware range.

“Our home collection has always proven to be a real hit among our Belfast customers and we can’t wait to welcome them into our very first Primark Home store.”

The new opening will mark Primark’s tenth in Northern Ireland and will see its homeware offering move out of its current Belfast-based Bank Buildings store, creating space for a larger kidswear and menswear offering.
