Primark has slashed prices on hundreds of its essential childrenswear products ahead of the summer season.
The value fashion giant said the price cuts aim to “help families make their money go further” as part of the retailer’s latest bid to offer “the best value on the high street”.
Primark’s price cuts will include wardrobe staples such as swimsuits, swim shorts, T-shirts, shorts, sliders and caps.
The price cuts will also include babywear, with a full outfit priced at £4.60 compared with £8 last year.
The news comes as, despite the “slight” drop in inflation, 23% of families are still struggling and an additional 43% are “simply managing with their spending”, according to figures from Kantar.
The new prices are available on a selection of clothing products across all Primark stores and include orders placed to click and collect.
Primark kidswear director Gavin Daniels said: “We know that summer can be an expensive time for families and, as the holidays get closer, parents want to make their money go further with low prices that don’t compromise on great quality.
“As shoppers start to prepare for summer, we want to play our part by offering new lower prices across many products in our kids range to support families.
“Our customers can always trust us to bring them great quality at affordable prices, and we’re proud to go even further by lowering our prices once again.”
This marks Primark’s second year of childrenswear summer price cuts after it dropped prices last year ahead of the back-to-school period.
