Quiz has announced it will “rebuild its store portfolio” as it plans to open up to 10 new stores this year.
The fashion retailer permanently closed 11 of its stores in 2020 amid struggles caused by pandemic restrictions, but now plans to open between five and 10 new shops this year, according to Drapers.
The new openings will add to the retailer’s current total of 70 stores across the UK and Ireland.
Quiz confirmed that its new locations will include Southampton and Plymouth, following the opening of Quiz stores in Bracknell, Brighton and Newbridge, Ireland, last year.
The expansion plans will also include upsizing and relocating some of its existing stores, including in Liverpool One and Lakeside shopping centres.
Chief commercial officer Sheraz Ramzan said the business is back in a growth phase and will focus on “acquiring stores in shopping centres”.
Ramzan added that Quiz will also open new stores on the high street “as long as it can find the right occupational cost”.
