Another raft of M&Co stores have closed their doors this month, with the rest set to follow this spring, following confirmation of AK Retail Holdings’ acquisition of the fashion retailer in February this year.

M&Co was purchased by AK Retail Holdings – which owns Yours Clothing, Long Tall Sally, BadRhino and maternity brand Bump It Up – for an undisclosed sum and confirmed M&Co’s physical stores were not included in the sale.

The fashion retailer originally entered administration in 2020 and then collapsed for a second time last December.

All 170 of M&Co’s stores are set to have closed their doors by the end of the spring this year and according to a statement on its website there are plans to “relaunch the web platform in the coming months” under its new ownership.

M&Co has also been offering customers “at least 50% off” products still available in its remaining stores.

Some of M&Co’s stores are still open to shoppers “for a limited time” and its remaining locations that are anticipated to close imminently include: Alexandria, Alnwick, Alton, Attleborough, Belper, Beverley, Bexhill, Billericay, Blandford Forum, Brighouse, Castle Douglas, Chesham, Christchurch, Cleveleys, Driffield, Dunoon, East Grinstead, Elgin, Exmouth, Fakenham, Fleet, Frinton, Garstang, Glenrothes, Guisborough, Haddington, Helensburgh, Henley On Thames, Hitchin, Hunstanton, Inchinnan OSC, Inverurie, Kirkintilloch, Lanark, Largs, Melton Mowbray, Midsomer Norton, Milngavie, Minehead, Montrose, Newport, Northallerton, Oswestry, Penarth, Portishead, Rayleigh, Rickmansworth, Ripon, Romsey, Saffron Walden, Seaford, St Andrews, St Neots, Stroud, Surbiton, Tenterden, Tewkesbury, Warminster and Wokingham.
