Retailers including Marks & Spencer, River Island, Warehouse and Topshop are supporting this year’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign which launches today featuring singer Kylie Minogue and model Claudia Schiffer.

Fashion Targets Breast Cancer is a fundraising campaign from UK charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer which works with retailers to sell a range of clothing and accessories annually online and in stores to raise money for the charity.

This year, the campaign is being launched with a series of advertisements shot by photographer Mario Testino featuring Minogue, Schiffer and actress Sienna Miller.

The advertising campaign features each of the women wrapped in a silk sheet printed with the charity’s target logo and has the strapline “Wear your support”.

The campaign will run for six weeks from today in both online and print media. Advertising space worth several million has been donated for free.

This year, a range of black and white clothing will be sold for the charity via retailers including Marks & Spencer, River Island, Warehouse, Topshop, Coast, Laura Ashley, my-wardrobe.com, Whistles, Superdry and Melissa Odabash.

A microsite has also been set up at www.fashiontargetsbreastcancer.org.uk where the collection, which includes skirts, t-shits, scarves and footwear, can also be purchased.

All the pieces hit stores today and no less than 30% of the price of each item will go directly to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Fashion Targets Breast Cancer was set up in 1994 by Ralph Lauren after his friend Nina Hyde, fashion editor of the Washington Post, died of breast cancer. Since the launch of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer in the UK in 1996, the initiative has raised over £10.5m for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
