Fashion retailer River Island is eyeing New York’s Manhattan as it considers expansion in the US.
River Island, which has 300 stores in the UK and abroad in countries including Singapore, has conducted due diligence on possible sites in Manhattan, according to The Independent.
The opening would be its first in the US and would follow similar moves made by Topshop, which opened its first US store in New York three years ago, and has gone on to open more stores in cities including Chicago.
Other UK retailers to have launched in the US include Ted Baker and All Saints.
