River Island has become the latest retailer to develop its own athleisure range as it bids to grab a slice of the growing market.
The fashion retailer said its athleisure line – “a collection of fashion-forward activewear” – will hit stores across the UK next month.
The collection will comprise 23 lines, with prices ranging from £18 to £38.
River Island is the latest fashion retailer to hone in on the athleisure trend.
Last week department store Selfridges opened a 37,000 sq ft dedicated area to sell fashion sportswear in its Oxford Street flagship.
Sir Philip Green has launched an athleisure collaboration with pop star Beyoncé. The Ivy Park brand is being launched this week. It will be available to shoppers in Topshop and other retailers including JD Sports, Net-a-Porter, Nordstrom, Selfridges and Zalando.
