Shop Direct Group’s trading director David Inglis has left the business.

His replacement is understood to be an internal promotion which will be announced later today.

In January last year, Inglis was promoted from group buying and merchandising director to the new role of trading director. He has been at Shop Direct Group for two years.

Inglis is understood to have been the driving force behind the launch of Very, Shop Direct’s new fashion website, which has a sales target of £500 million by 2014.
