Shop Direct has appointed a new group finance director to replace Greg Pateras, who is leaving after 10 years with the etailer.

Derek Harding will join the Liverpool-headquartered retailer later this year from FTSE250 international engineering group Senior.

Prior to Senior, Harding spent 11 years as finance director of plumbing and heating firm Wolseley.

Shop Direct boss Alex Baldock said: “Derek is a world-class finance director of large, complex businesses. He will strengthen an already strong executive team here at Shop Direct.”

Outgoing finance boss Pateras will leave the business in July to “explore new opportunities”, Shop Direct said.
