Arcadia and Shop Direct have reached an agreement whereby the digital retailer will stock both Topshop and Topman products on its ecommerce sites for the first time.
Shop Direct said it would offer some 500 Topshop product lines from August 24, which will expand to some 2,000 lines in the autumn and winter of 2019. It will carry these lines across its Very and Littlewoods fashion brands.
The etailer will also carry some 200 Topshop Beauty lines, becoming the first retailer to offer Topshop Beauty products outside of the wider Arcadia Group in the UK.
Shop Direct will also launch Burton and Dorothy Perkins ranges on its ecommerce sites from September 9.
Managing director at Shop Direct, Sam Perkins, said: “Topshop and Topman are two of the biggest fashion brands out there. We know our customers will love this new partnership, which builds on our long-term, successful relationship with the Arcadia Group.
“We believe it’ll attract even more customers to Very and Littlewoods – giving them access to a range of different ways to pay – and open up the Topshop and Topman brands to a whole new group of customers.”
Chief executive of Topshop, Paul Price, said: “Topshop’s mission is to inspire customers and bring them exciting, design-led fashion at great value. We’re delighted to be partnering with Shop Direct’s retail brands – delivering our clothing, accessories and beauty to even more UK-based shoppers’ homes at the click of a button.”
Arcadia has been struggling to rebuild, following a bruising battle with landlords over its company voluntary arrangement.
The CVA was eventually passed at the second time of asking in early June, although it was subsequently challenged by disgruntled US landlords.
The fashion empire found itself under significant pressure after it saw its profits slump 86% to just £30m over the last three years.
