Fashion retailer Ted Baker is doubling the size of its store at Liverpool One reflecting its strong performance at the shopping centre.
The expanded Peter’s Lane store, which will be 6,681 sq ft, will stock the brand’s full menswear and womenswear ranges, accessories and fragrances.
At the same time, fashion retailer Tessuti has taken a unit on Peter’s Lane, which is anchored by Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols. The 5,300 sq ft store will be the brand’s first store in the city.
Miles Dunnett, head of asset management at Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, said: “The creation of an upsized store for Ted Baker has been an objective for some time given its performance at Liverpool One. It is a destination brand, and the new larger store will serve as a mini-anchor to Peter’s Lane. That Tessuti is joining them is also great news, and cements Peter’s Lane’s position as the focal point for premium fashion in the city.”
Liverpool One has reported a 5.9% increase in sales for the year to date, with footfall up by 3.9% compared to last year. In 2012, footfall exceeded 26 million for the first time.
Cushman and Wakefield and Tushingham Moore acted for Liverpool One. Orme Retail represented Ted Baker and Tessuti dealt directly.
