Tesco has opened its first F&F stores in the Philippines, in the latest stage of its ambition to build a global fashion brand.
The Philippines openings are via a franchise partnership with local retail group Stores Specialist Inc. (SSI). SSI is part of the Rustan’s Group, the largest retail group in the Philippines.
F&F opened its first shop in the Limketkai Centre, Cagayan de Oro City, on the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines at the end of January. A further two shops opened in General Santos City, also in Mindanao, including a kids-only shop.
F&F and SSI want to open ten stores in total across the Philippines this year, with the first F&F shop in Manila set to open in spring.
F&F now has stores in 20 countries, and a further 30 can order online.
F&F recently opened stores in Dubai, Bahrain and Jordan as part of a franchise agreement with Al Futtaim.
F&F chief executive Jason Terry said: “It’s very exciting to be bringing F&F to customers in the Philippines, an exciting market with huge growth potential. We are convinced that customers will like the combination of good quality, contemporary designs and great prices. These new stores, as well as our recent openings in the Middle East, show how committed we are to making F&F a truly global affordable fashion brand.”
