Fashion luminaries including former Arnotts chief executive David Riddiford, consultant Yasmin Sewell and former Aquascutum creative director Valerie Wickes have joined forces to back a new luxury retail venture that aims to offer bespoke shopping experiences to visitors to the world’s leading hotels.
Shop at The Savoy offers the hotel’s 750,000 visitors each year the chance to buy an edited selection of luxury product from brands through a number of channels including online at www.shopatthesavoy.com and in the hotel shop, which will open in March. Visitors can also shop through the hotel’s internal room TV systems.
Riddiford was appointed non-executive director of Change Retail, the business behind the venture, in June. The Savoy has the service exclusively for one year.
The team has joined forces with former creative and advertising consultant Simon Thompson to launch the concept at top London hotel The Savoy this week.
Shop at The Savoy has also teamed up with retailers and brands including Selfridges to offer VIP shopping sprees.
Thompson, who has designed interiors for brands including Harvey Nichols, said:”This presented an opportunity to develop a complete five-star shopping concept.”
