The Very Group has promoted chief financial officer Ben Fletcher to the newly created role of chief finance and transformation officer with immediate effect.
Fletcher joined The Very Group in 2020 from Clarks, where he was president of European operations, responsible for investment and expansion of the business in Europe.
With industry experience of more than 23 years, Fletcher has previously held senior financial roles at Procter & Gamble worldwide and Walgreens Boots Alliance.
Ben will continue to be a part of the company’s executive team and a board member, reporting to group chief executive Lionel Desclée.
Desclée said: “We need to consistently land customer-focused change in the ways we work. This will position us to give the families we serve, as well as our people, the best possible experiences.
“Ben is the ideal person to represent transformation at the executive table and lead these exciting developments in our business over the coming years.”
Fletcher added: “We are already making big strides in our multi-year tech transformation. Alongside this, I’m passionate about continuing to develop the best ways of working to ensure we capitalise on this investment and continue providing the convenience, value and flexibility our customers value.”
This is part of The Very Group’s multi-year technology investment roadmap, which includes a partnership with Commercetools and True Fit to transform its ecommerce platform and provide size and fit assistance to customers.
