Online fashion giant Zalando has launched a new “immersive visual-first” fashion experience, Stories, in partnership with fashion media brand Highsnobiety.
Zalando said the new fashion destination “redefines the way of discovering exciting fashion and culture trends” as it offers expert-led content through short videos to help customers buy products they “truly love”.
Customers can access the new platform through the Zalando website, app and social media channels to discover style and trend-focused content, access exclusive brand collaborations and hear from creatives about their own style experiences.
Zalando acquired a majority stake in Highsnobiety last June and said at the time that the partnership would “leverage each other’s complementary strengths” by combining Highsnobiety’s cultural relevance and insight with Zalando’s fashion network.
The Stories fashion experience is available to shoppers in 11 countries across Europe, including the UK, France and Spain, with plans to launch into further markets next year.
Zalando senior vice-president of product design Anne Pascual said: “We know that customers are looking for inspiration and with Stories on Zalando we are doing exactly that: crafting highly engaging formats to show what’s new and what’s next in fashion.
“Working with incredible partners – from cultural trendsetters to style experts and top brands – we invite our customers to a radically new fashion journey.
“We’re going above and beyond the traditional shopping experience, putting inspiration front and centre, expressing a strong point of view and starting conversations on what matters.”
Highsnobiety founder and chief executive David Fischer said: “Inspiration and knowledge are fundamental to empowering people to make confident style choices.
“With Stories on Zalando, we’re excited to draw on our vast experience in storytelling to enhance the experience for Zalando’s customers, while leveraging Zalando’s reach to platform the top-tier brands and cultural leaders defining fashion and culture today.”
