Beds retailer Feather & Black’s managing director Adam Black has stepped down to “pursue other opportunities” leaving the retailer without either of its founders.
Co-founder Black launched the business in 2004 along with Robbie Feather. Feather left in 2009 and is now heading up general merchandise for Sainsbury’s.
Black will be replaced as managing director by Daniel Wade of the retailer’s owners The Wade Group. Meanwhile Oliver Spark, formerly managing director of The White Company, has also been appointed to the board as a non-executive director.
Daniel Wade said: “Adam leaves the business on good terms and is working in co-ordination with the Wade Group to ensure a smooth transition.
“On behalf of the Board, we would like to thank Adam for his contribution to the business during his eight years at Feather & Black, three and a half of which, were as Managing Director.
“As Founder, he made a substantial contribution in growing the business and the brand and we wish him well in his future endeavours. We have the continued support of the Wade Group and are looking forward to taking full advantage of new sales opportunities both in store and digitally.”
