Department store group Fenwick has begun revamping its womenswear level on the first floor of its London Bond Street store.
The overhaul, led by design consultancy Studio db, aims to maintain a boutique feel for Fenwick’s classic contemporary and niche brands.
The project is part of a wider plan announced last summer to extend the store’s trading areas by 20 per cent, due for completion next year.
The store will be extended by around 14,000 sq ft by expanding into space left vacant by the demolition of the Apollo House office block. The escalator will be in a central position on all floors for the first time.
The revamp follows the redesign of Fenwick’s lingerie and menswear departments, and similar work at its Brent Cross and Newcastle branches.
