Allied Carpets has been sold by restructuring firm Hilco to a consortium of private investors.

According to the Independent, Savana Trading has acquired 26 of the 30 Allied Carpet Stores.

Administrators Leonard Curtis is handling the closure of four stores.

All parties declined to comment.
