Barclays Private Equity has put clothing retailer Original Factory Shop up for sale for an estimated £70 million to £80 million.
The private equity firm has appointed corporate finance group KPMG to advise on a strategic review of the business.
The business was bought by Barclays in 2004, which then appointed former chief executive of TJ Hughes Geoff Foster to run the retailer.
Original Factory Shop has around 78 stores selling brands at discount prices in market towns and retail parks across the UK.
