Christmas hampers and vouchers specialist Park Group is expanding internationally.
AIM-listed Park has bought the brand names and customer and agent databases of Republic of Ireland businesses Celtic Hampers and Family Hampers for up to €1m, giving it a toehold in the eurozone. Park will launch a euro version of its Love2shop voucher.
Celtic hampers and Family Hampers have 25,000 customers between them and have orders worth €10m for this Christmas. The businesses will be rebranded to Park.
Park managing director Chris Houghton said: “This is an exciting development as it is our first international acquisition. It not only allows us to expand our product offering into a new territory but will also see the creation of a euro-based Love2shop voucher, which we believe has sales potential throughout Europe.”
