- Trading is in line with expectations
- Like-for-like order intake up 2.7%
- Key trading periods still to come
Sofas and floorings specialist ScS has posted a rise in like-for-like order intake.
In an update ahead of interim results in March, ScS said like-for-like order intake rose 2.7% in the 26 weeks to January 28 and described the performance as ”pleasing against particularly strong comparatives”.
ScS said that on a two-year basis, like-for-like order intake has risen 12.5%, and that trading over the important January Sales period was also in line with management expectations.
The retailer said: ”We remain mindful that the group still faces the key Easter and May bank holiday trading periods and faces very strong comparatives during the remainder of the year.
”The board believes the business remains in a strong position to maximise opportunities as they arise and to grow market share.”
ScS trades from 100 eponymous branches and has 28 concessions in House of Fraser stores.
