DIY retailer Wickes’ like for likes rose 0.7% in the 39 weeks to September 26.
Turnover also rose by 0.7%.
Like-for-likes in the 13 weeks to the end of September increased 7.8% as the retailer benefited from its advertising campaign, which increased awareness of its improved kitchen and bathroom ranges.
Sales in core products slid 3% but showroom sales soared 20.8% in the 39 week period.
Its parent, Travis Perkins, revealed group turnover fell 11% in the 39 weeks period.
Last month rival B&Q also revealed strong figures, posting a better than expected profit rise of 66% to £137min the six months to August 1.
