Focus DIY administrators have received a “fantastic level of interest” in the business as it seeks offers for a sale of the retailer.
Focus DIY collapsed last week, as revealed by Retail-Week.com, with Ernst & Young being appointed administrators.
Ernst & Young is continuing to trade all stores, which have been trading at “record levels, and well above budget” in the last week, according to joint administrator Simon Allport. This is despite the fact that no closing down sales have begun.
The majority of suppliers “continue to show their support for continued trading”, said Ernst & Young.
Allport said: “We are grateful to all the group’s loyal customers, suppliers and employees for their continued support.”
Last week B&Q owner Kingfisher bought up to 31 stores for £23m, as tipped by Retail Week.
