The retailer's magazine, Game, was launched in March, with a print run of 59,000. However, the title, which is sold for£1.99, quickly upped its circulation to 200,000.
A spokesman for Game said that the relationship with Future was a short-term agreement and, after a review, the retailer decided to switch to Highbury House. The first issue to be produced by Highbury will hit the shops next month. The deal also means the publication will come out at least four times a year, instead of three, to reflect the increase in major hardware and software releases expected over the next 12 months, the Game spokesman said.
