Game has launched a finishing school for deputy managers to identify future business leaders.
The computer games retailer will select 50 deputy managers a year for the scheme, which lasts five weeks and focuses on leadership skills, performance management and team working. The scheme has been created so that when a store manager position becomes vacant, candidates have the necessary skills to step up.
Game training and recruitment manager Suresh Banarse said: 'We'll be working harder than ever to develop and implement tailored training plans for regional managers, district development managers, store and deputy store managers, as well as other staff.'
Earlier this month, Game relocated its distribution centre and head office from Bracknell, Berkshire, to a purpose-built facility at Basingstoke, Hampshire.
