Game has agreed a concession deal with Debenhams to sell DVDs at the department store group's outlets.
The move follows Game testing two standalone DVD stores under the Pure Entertainment fascia. The retailer wants to grow its share of the market by forming alliances with other retailers, via concessions.
Game's 380 stores in the UK and Ireland each stock about 1,000 DVDs. The retailer will install a limited range, covering chart and promotional titles, in 32 Debenhams stores by the end of September.
Game group product manager Bonita Lloyd said: 'With 104 Debenhams department stores throughout the UK, there is a great opportunity in the future to roll out this concept to more Deben-hams stores. This partnership enables us to push further into the DVD retail market.'
Game already has concessions in Debenhams offering computer games, but the addition of a DVD range will strengthen the department store business's entertainment offer further.
