Game is on the hunt for a raft of pop-up stores to capitalise on a predicted video game console buying frenzy this Christmas.
The retailer has instructed property firms Williams Gunter Hardwick and Lunson Mitchenall to find temporary sales space which it aims to trade over Christmas.
Video games consoles are predicted to be big sellers this Christmas with both the Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles launching ahead of the festive period.
Game is seeking units of 1,000 to 2,000 sq ft and former Game and Gamestation units will be “considered favourably”.
Private investment firm OpCapita acquired 333 of Game’s 610 UK stores out of administration in April last year.
The retailer partnered with Microsoft to open a store in pop-up mall Boxpark in east London last month dedicated to the new Xbox Live console.
