US fashion retailer Gap has signed for its first store in the Republic of Ireland, in Dundrum Town Centre shopping centre in Dublin.
The 8,000 sq ft store will open in May, stocking womenswear, menswear, childrens and babywear.
At present, Gap is only represented in the Republic of Ireland as a concession in Dublin department store Arnotts.
Gap president Stephen Sunnucks said: “We believe that international growth remains an opportunity for our brands. The considerable interest and demand for Gap in Ireland, combined with the availability of this great Dublin location makes it feel like an appropriate and exciting next step for the brand.”
At Dundrum, Gap will sit alongside retailers such as H&M, Next and Jane Norman. The scheme’s anchors are House of Fraser and Harvey Nichols.
