Waterstones profits have soared as customers return to the office

Waterstones has hailed workers returning to the office, increasing footfall in London and the rebound of international tourism for contributing to its profits quadrupling in its most recent financial year. 

In newly filed accounts on Companies House, Waterstones reported pre-tax profits of £42.9m - up £11.2m from the previous year - in the 12 months to April 27, 2024.
