Former Iceland boss to set up UK arm of US turnaround specialist
Former Iceland and Wickes boss Bill Grimsey has joined US-based retail turnaround specialist FTI Palladium Partners to set up its UK arm.

He joins with Bill Hoskins, previously finance director at Wickes and The Big Food Group. Both men helped turn Wickes around after near insolvency in 1996 and then moved onto The Big Food Group in 2001, where they implemented a refinancing project. The business was sold to Icelandic company Baugur last year.

London-based FTI Palladium Partners is owned by New York-based FTI Consulting. FTI helps companies to secure their future viability, taking up senior executive posts to lead in times of change and crisis. Working alongside Grimsey and Hoskins will be former Chelsea and Leeds Utd chief executive Trevor Birch and former FA boss Mark Palios.
