Northern grocer Booths aims to take a bigger slice of the Christmas food market by offering nationwide delivery of seasonal lines.
Booths, which has 29 shops in the Northwest and Yorkshire, will deliver specialist products from its Booths Book catalogue of Christmas food and drink.
Booths will make the most of its reputation for product quality and provenance and use of local suppliers to sell lines such as Morecambe Bay potted shrimps, Herdwick mutton and dry aged beef produced exclusively for the retailer by National Trust tenant farmers.
Booths chairman Edwin Booth said: “For the first time we are making our Christmas range available throughout the United Kingdom so that customers from far and wide can share fabulous food and drink with friends and family and discover why Booths is one of the nation’s best kept secrets”.
The Booths Book will be distributed through the retailer’s stores and available for order on its website.
