Grocery delivery app Getir is said to be preparing to exit the UK market, which could put more than 1,000 jobs at risk.
Getir could announce its exit from the UK, Germany and the Netherlands as soon as this week, according to Sky News.
This would mean its complete withdrawal from Europe, putting thousands of jobs in jeopardy.
It was reported last week that the delivery company is weighing asset sales, including US-based online grocer FreshDirect, as part of a restructuring, but no decisions have been made yet.
If it exits Europe, Getir will be left operating in just the US and Turkey and is expected to ultimately operate solely in the latter, where it was founded in 2015.
Getir has already left markets including Spain and Italy with the aim of reducing losses.
The business also announced last year that it would cut the size of its global workforce by 10%, amounting to nearly 2,500 jobs.
The Getir app was once valued at £9.7bn and it currently has a multimillion-pound commercial partnership with football club Tottenham Hotspur.
