Morrisons has launched a new Market Kitchen format in Manchester, which it describes as a “part grocery, part takeaway” concept.
Market Kitchen, which appears to be a separate fascia at Morrisons’ Manchester Piccadilly Gardens store, offers customers the ability to have breakfast, lunch or evening meals prepared by a chef, as well as a range of food-to-go options.
The format’s range will also be available to Morrisons customers for home delivery through its partnership with food delivery app Deliveroo.
Morrisons said it would be running an introductory offer of 50% off all purchases in-store until September 6. While Morrisons’ Deliveroo orders come with a £4.50 fee, the retailer also said it would waive that charge between August 27 and September 1.
