Ocado has recorded in its quarterly sales as the grocery etailer says it will add ‘many more lines’ to its M&S range than the 4,000 product lines currently offered via Waitrose.
The grocery etailer posted a 10.8% uplift in retail revenue to £429.1m in the 13 weeks to December 1, bolstered by a 10.4% boost in average orders per week.
Average basket size was flat year-on-year at £104.90.
Ocado completed its range review of M&S products during the period as part of its newly-formed joint venture with the beleaguered department store chain. The grocery etailer confirmed it has secured substitutes of matching or lower prices for the majority of the 4,000 products currently supplied by Waitrose.
