Ocado has been sending promotional messages to former Getir users as the rapid delivery service backs out of the UK.
The online grocer struck a deal with Getir to send communications to its users urging them to switch to its rapid delivery service Zoom.
According to a report by The Grocer, former customers were sent emails that told them Ocado Zoom offered “the same smart shopping experience” as Getir but with “five times the choice” and “the best of M&S”.
Getir users were also offered free delivery and a 25% discount on their first order.
Users of Getir-owned Gorillas were also contacted and were told the service “won’t leave you hanging” and were offered 30% off their first Zoom shop and three months of free delivery.
Ocado head of Zoom Gemma McIver told The Grocer: “As Getir and Gorillas exit the UK, we’re pleased to be offering their customers a chance to try Zoom by Ocado.
“With a huge range of products, including M&S food, delivered in less than 60 minutes, we’re confident they’ll love the service.”
