Grocery delivery platform Gopuff has announced it is price matching against discounter Aldi on certain items for London-based customers.
Gopuff said it would price match against Aldi on 45 everyday products for a limited time across fresh produce, meat, dairy, pasta, rice and cleaning products to be delivered to customers’ doors in minutes.
The platform will be offering customers price-matched groceries from Morrisons’ own brand and brands such as Warburtons and Pepsi.
A spokesperson for the rapid-delivery firm said: “Gopuff is always looking at ways to add value to our customers, so with inflation still high, part of our focus is to continue offering convenience and help customers make their budgets stretch further.
“We have chosen the most popular everyday essentials to Aldi Price Match, to make sure everybody gets to take advantage of competitive prices to reach London’s community, including busy parents and professionals.”
Gopuff is one of the first rapid delivery platforms to offer Aldi price-matched products but is the latest in a string of wider grocery businesses targeting the discounter.
Morrisons launched its price match campaign against Aldi and Lidl in February after Asda made a similar move. Both supermarkets were following Tesco and Sainsbury’s, which have been matching against Aldi on certain products for several years.
