Tesco joins business alliance to feed NHS staff as they fight coronavirus

Tesco is contributing meals to NHS staff battling coronavirus

Tesco has joined an alliance of businesses, including fulfilment specialist Yodel, to deliver meals to NHS staff on the front line of battling coronavirus.

Tesco has joined SalutetheNHS.org, established by businessman Ron Dennis, which aims to serve 1 million meals to health workers.

The scheme is designed to provide ”nutritious and ready-to-eat meals” to staff working in intensive care units, anaesthetic teams and A&E staff ”unable to leave their clinical areas during their 12-hour shifts, which is the protocol being adopted by all Covid-19 designated hospitals”.
