Habitat has hired Gary Waldron as retail director, following his departure from fashion retailer Fat Face earlier this year.
According to The Independent, the move follows the appointment of chairman Phil Wrigley in June, who was previously at New Look. Chief executive Mark Saunders then exited, alongside Rob Lane, head of its UK retail division, as revealed by Retail Week.
Hilco is also close to appointing a new chief executive.
The furniture retailer was bought by restructuring specialist Hilco in December in a deal that included writing off debts and proving working capital of £45m. Hilco has vowed that the chain, which suffered a £42m loss last year, will break even in the year to May 31, 2011.
Hilco declined to comment.
