The retailer already uses the supplier’s systems in its UK business and Czech Republic stores.
The software is being used to provide greater consistency in the pricing and promotion messages in the store, which opened in December, as well as improving staff efficiency.
Halfords general manager of international development Paul Joyner said that the system has been in use in the Czech Republic since 2007 and the retailer wanted to continue working with Episys as it expanded its operations in the region.
Episys marketing director Peter Lewis explained that the company has upgraded the system it is already using internationally for the store in Wroclaw, Poland.
He said: “We have a strong working relationship with Halfords having already implemented a signage system that integrates with the retailer’s back office system. This enables signage to be delivered automatically to the store with the right price.”
He added: “When we initially provided the solution to the Czech Republic we also had to deliver signage in the right language. The Czech Republic system has since been upgraded to incorporate an international capability, which includes a multiple language facility that allowed Halfords to deliver technology to its Polish store.”
